IMO the top two bucket list destinations within 1-hour drive of St George, Utah are Zion National Park and Snow Canyon State Park. While there are many more things to do, these two places are my personal favorite especially during the off-season when you will avoid the crowds!
Zion National Park is a popular tourist destination located in Springdale, Utah. The park features stunning landscapes and a variety of outdoor activities including hiking, camping, and biking. With its proximity to St. George and other nearby attractions, Zion is a great place to visit for an afternoon or weekend getaway.
Located just a short drive from St. George, Utah, Snow Canyon State Park is a popular destination for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts. The park offers stunning views of the desert landscape and features several hiking trails which wind through canyons and up to peaks with panoramic views. In addition to its natural beauty, the park is also home to an archaeological museum which houses artifacts dating back more than 10,000 years.
